Sani Pass
There are no passes in Africa to compare to ‘Sani Pass’.   It can best described as a track rather than a road; it is steep, rough and dangerous and suitable only for 4x4 vehicles, and the only link between KwaZulu-Natal and Lesotho.
The hotel, at the top of the pass, is said to be the highest in Africa.

The following paintings reflect the terrain and the people who live at the top of the pass.
These original paintings are done with acrylic paint on art paper.   Each is 270mm wide x 180mm.
